I Cannot Login into the Web Interface

For some reason I cannot login into the web interface.

Explanation

ejabberd has support for virtual hosts since version 0.9. This means that there can be users with the same username at the same server but at another virtual host. If the web interface login would require only the username, this would be a leak, because a user being no administrator, but with the same username as an administrator, would be able to login into the web interface. Luckily, this is not true!

Solution

Make sure you enter the full Jabber ID of the administrator, as also described in the Installation and Operation Guide.

  admin

• Good username:

  admin@example.org
