How to manage ejabberd session using cookies?

I am using ejabberd and strophe to build a chat application. Everything is working fine. But when i am using multiple browser tabs to chat, while logging out of chat in one tab should force the application in all the tabs to logout. Please help me to solve this problem. Thank you
