Creating pretty names

How can I put nicknames on users in the web interface?

I have configured shared roster and disabled mod_roster since I wanted users to have all the list as soon as they logged in they dont have to manually add users but i cant find where i can set the nicknames in the web interface..

Not possible to explicitly define nicknames of shared roster members. There are two proposed patches:
