Linux Installer does not work on Ubuntu 10.4 (lucid)

When I try to execute it I get "The file is of an unknown type"

I can install using apt-get

When I configure it as given in http://www.ejabberd.im/node/1051 it crashes when it starts

Is there a way to get the 180 second install to work on Ubuntu?

Installer works on different system

I tried the installer on another system and it executed fine.

What does it depend on to be able to execute?

It is executable.

One here (work) is Pentum 4 and one at home is Celron

Umm, maybe you tried to execute the Linux 32bits installer in a Linux 64bits machine?
Or maybe you tried to execute the Linux 64bits installer in a Linux 32bits machine.
