I'm not sure if this is the correct section...
I've installed ejabberd version 2.1.5 under Debian lenny and Pidgin version 2.7.9.0 under windows XP sp3;
All is working very well except for file transfer, that is very very slow also in LAN.
The situation is this:
- Windows to Windows about 6-10 seconds to start the transfer and about 30 seconds to transfer 40 KB of data....
- Windows to Linux is the same...
- Linux to Windows, no problem, transferred 100 MB in 13 seconds.
What can be about you?
How can I improve performance?

Buongiorno, Umberto.
File transfer has nothing to do with Ejabberd per se. The clients transfer data directly between them, only using the Ejabberd chat connection to discover each other. No file transfer data passes through the Ejabberd server(s). Might I suggest that you search Pidgin (and/or Windows) support forums for a solution.
