Add contacts and GoogleTalk

Hi all,

Has anyone here successfully added a googletalk contact to his roster, while using ejabberd ?

I successfully add contacts from @gmail.com using a jabber.org account, but was unable to do the same thing while using an account on ejabberd.
(i already tried removing pending contacts, tried both ways)

Thanks, but I noticed this thread after posting, and that seems to have fixed it (adding a line to my hosts file).

Can't connect to GoogleTalk either

I just upgraded my ejabberd from 0.9.3 to 1.0.0 so that I could connect to GoogleTalk, but I haven't been able to connect at all.

I can't see anything odd in the logs, although it seems to create an s2s connection to the gmail.com server and then quit immediately. I do have s2s encryption enabled.

This is what I see:

Can't connect to GoogleTalk either, looked at this?

Have you checked your firewall so that GoogleTalk can connect back to your server?
Apperently GoogleTalk "phone backs" to your server. So you need to allow GoogleTalk this.
