You can create an account on your Jabber server with any Jabber client. Then give admin rights to that Jabber account on ejabberd.cfg, and you will have several new possibilities with that Jabber account:

Send messages to online users on your server
Set, change and remove MOTD
Access web admin (when asked by the webbrowser, give the full JID and the password
Access admin features in the Jabber Discovery (it works with Tkabber at least)
Have admin rights on the MUC service

ejabberd 0.9 released: virtual hosting and shared roster support

On the web administration, you must use:

    * name: the full JID of an administrator on that server. You can give admin privileges to an account on ejabberd.cfg.
    * password: the password of that Jabber account.

Hi badlop, I know again you will be the person who is going to come for my rescue...

I learnt from the old discussions that we should use command line utility 'ejabberctl' for registering the user for the first time to get into the webadmin console but badlop what's the problem is that
I excuted this command
./ejabberdctl register username password

and I got an error

{"init terminating in do_boot", .......{init,start_em}]}}

So how to get rid of this error... I tried running the command from ebin directory also...

Tell me what is the command to run and from which directory...

Badlop, I am sure that I will be keep bugging you with lots of questions until I succeed in getting a complete working ejabberd..
