how many concurrent users ejabberd can handle on a single Node??

we are going to shift our setup from Openfire to ejabberd that's why i need to that how many concurrent users ejabberd can handle on single node. Secondly what specifications a node should have to handle 100,000 concurrent users.

It really depends on the traffic. With a good server with a lot of RAM you could support 100k or more per node BUT it really depends on the overall protocol usage, client behaviour, system architecture, OS tuning, etc.
