Windows ejabberd Clustering

I'm running ejabberd 2.0.1 on windows and when running as a windows service, the individual server runs fine.

The problem comes when i try and create a cluster, the windows service starts the ejabberd server as usual but the 2 nodes do not see each other, each saying that they are the only running node and the other one is stopped in the web interface. if i start the 2 nodes from the desktop icon, they work together fine, but when i log out of my remote desktop connection the servers are stopped as the were running as the user i logged in as.

Has anyone else come across or even solved this issue?

many thanks in advance
