I am experiencing very long list load time with PyAIM on eJabberd.
I am using an AIM account that has 207 contacts. When connecting to my server with Gajim it takes over 2 minutes to get the full contacts list.
Here is what I do:
Create new account on Gajim
Register new account on my server im.[myjabberserver].com
Login to new account on my jabber server
Actions --> discover services
Get list of available services:
AIM
ICQ
J2J
MSN
Yahoo
Chat Rooms
IRC
Double click on AIM
Login with my AIM username and password
Then I start seeing my list updates
It takes about 2 minutes(!!!) for all the contacts (about 200 total) to come through. Is this reasonable?
I am seeing contacts come 1 by 1 to Gajim. Is there any way to get a full list from the server rather than each contact separately?
