How can a user change password

Hi,
I this may be a naive question, but I could not find how an ejabber user can change his/her password. I have setup a local ejabberd server (1.0.0) and I added some users using the ejabberdctl tool. Now if the user wants to change his/her password to something different from the one assigned by administrator, how to do that (without asking the administrator) ? Is there an easy way to do it using a jabber client (I am using gaim) ? I came across some page which talks about sending some XML message, but I did not understand to whom. Sending to the servername did not help. Also, my users have no idea of XML. Any easy way out?

Thanks in advance,

How to change password on GAIM/Pidgin

Users can change their password using their Jabber client. If the client does not support that feature they can send the raw XML, but of course that is not the optimal solution.

GAIM has changed its name to Pidgin. On Pidgin 2.0.1 you can change your password. Look for something like this on the client menu: Accounts -> Your account -> Change your password.
