I restarted a clients gentoo server yesterday and now no one can use pidgin. I cant get to the web admin page either. I am assuming this means that jabber is not running. How do I get it running?

Check log files
Probably ejabberd shows some error message in ejabberd.log or sasl.log when fails the server start.
