Hello,
I just installed ejabberd, I can connect up with GAIM using the admin account but I can't add a user. I have tried using the command.
ejabberdctl default@donkey user password - and I have tried switching the syntax around thinking maybe I had it wrong. It doesn't give me an error, but it lists the possible commands and gives me an example.
Looking at the screen shots of the web admin interface, I do not have the button that says Users. I have the following.
Access Control
Lists
Access Rules
Virtual Hosts
Nodes
Statistics
Since I am new to this I don't really know what other information to give to you. I am running this on Slackware 10.1, and I am using ejabberd 0.9.8.
If you need any other information, I will gladly post it.
I assume I am missing a mod or something, or I somehow screwed up the install. Any help is appreciated.
Look under 'Virtual Hosts'
I think you need to specify which virtual host you want to add the user to first. So select one under Virtual Hosts, and then look for a Users button.
Looking at the screen shots
In version 0.9.8 that button is moved to another page because of extended virtual hosting support. But the screenshots are still from a previous ejabberd version. You need to click on Virtual hosts-->the host on which you want to add a new user-->Users.
