- ejabberd offers an "External Script" as a way of authentication. Is it possible to use UNIX authentication with ejabberd ? Jabberd2 offers PAM authentication which can be used with unix, I am wondering if there is a possible solution in ejabberd.
- is s2s encryption possible in the near future?

It is possible to use any authentication method, you just need to write the external script and tell ejabberd to use it. I'm not aware of any existing script for PAM or UNIX authentication. If you have time, you can write it yourself and contribute it. There are some example scripts on .
Yes, Aleksey said that he will implement STARTTLS+SASL for S2S on the future, but is waiting to see any other complete, working implementation.
