Creating rosters with mod_shared_roster_ldap.

Hi I know there are many posts regarding this but nothing quite answers my question so I thought I would add a new post.

I am running Ubuntu Natty using eJabberd-2.1.5-3 and ejabberd-mod-shared-roster-ldap-0.5.3-1 from the Natty universal repo and trying to authenticate against a Active Directory domain.

Anyway, the LDAP setup was a breeze. Got it up and running with no problems what so ever. The shared roster on the other hand was not such a simple affair.

I get no errors when trying to restart the daemon and the module is registering on the modules page of the admin interface (although I had to manually add the lines into my ejabberd.cfg) but it just just doesnt seem to want to create any rosters.

I am pretty sure it is something simple but I was hoping someone could take a look at my config or offer any suggestions? :) I have left everything in there except username's and passwords.

Thanks,

Forgot to mention that I followed this documentation for setting up the rostering:

Hi, i'm not totally sure, but

Hi,

i'm not totally sure, but i thought, mod_shared_roster_ldap is only included since ejabberd 2.1.6
If so, you maybe should have a look here:
http://www.ejabberd.im/ejabberd-modules

Don't know if it works by installing both out of repository.

If you are sure the mod is included it could help if you can post an ad search query so we can compare your settings with the ad values.

As i don't have ad (only openldap) and there are differences in schemes i can't help you without looking into your ad scheme.

kind regards
