Hello,
following problem. I can register new users from an external client like miranda. But after that I can not login this user. I just get an error message "read error" (by miranda). Does anybody know this problem?

I have met the same problem
I have met the same problem when I installed the ejabberd 1.1.3 with the binary file in the REDHAT ENTERPRISE, then I changed my OS to ubuntu 6.0.6 and everything works fine now.
If you installed ejabberd
If you installed ejabberd using the 1.1.3 binary installer, check ejabberd log files. If you have , you can try the ejabberd 1.1.2 binary installer until the problem is fixed.
